Cheating inCall of Duty: Warzonehas been a topic of conversation for fans since the game’s debut. From questions of skill-based matchmaking to aim botting to players that run rampant across several game modes, the one thing that many fans don’t have is proof.

OneWarzonefan believes that by simply implementing a Replay System into the game, the community can help bring down cheaters and improve their skill level. By being able to rewatch an entireWarzonematch from 150 different perspectives,Warzoneplayers can confirm cheaters for reportsand learn from the other players to improve their strategy.

The Replay System would be helpful not only inWarzonebut also for use in Multiplayer battles inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare.A Replay System could allow players a chance tospectate any player they were suspicious ofand grants players a chance to go back and view an entire match. Community reporting can be more efficient and offers a chance to watch longer periods of time than just the short interaction of being gunned down. The author also argues that this would be a good way to help players improve their own gameplay strategy. By simply rewatching the 1st place squad, players can learn what they did differently and improve their own tactics from observation alone.

A Report System also has a functional benefit as players can use the replays to create more community content. The author points out that social media and other platforms are already filled with content, by having a Replay System players are able to contribute more to the community. It is not an unreasonable request as theater mode has been used inpreviousCall of Dutygameswith moderate success. Watching games from other player’s perspectives can give extremely useful insight to playstyle, tactics, and epic moments that are lost without it.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’sBlackout mode included a theater mode allowing exactly what the post author is suggesting. This means that it is, at the minimum, possible to implement. Some fans suggest that a Replay Mode feature will never be implemented as it could be used to highlight thehacking problem in theCoDcommunity, making Activision and Infinity Ward look bad. Others argue that they simply do not want to know how many players in their lobby are cheating. No matter the position, players remain mixed on the useful practicality of anything like the suggested Replay Mode.
