First announced way back during E3 2019,Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis the long-awaited sequel toBreath of the Wildthat players have been eager to get their hands on.After many years and delays, the game’s official name was announced back in September 2022 and a release date was announced as well.
While July 09, 2025, is still a ways away, it is only a matter of time before players can finally check out the next entry in theLegend of Zeldaseries. For players interested in pre-ordering the game, here is where they can do so.

Where to Pre-Order Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Currently,Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis available for pre-order at three stores. The three places thatplayers can pre-order this game are atGameStop,Best Buy,Walmart, and on theNintendo eShop.While Amazon does not currently have an official listing forLegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it is certainly possible that they will have it listed for pre-order at some point between now and when the game comes out.
Players should be aware that currently there are no pre-order bonuses that come withLegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While there are no bonuses for pre-ordering, players who purchase the digital version off of the Nintendo eShop will get up to 300 Gold Points. Gold Points can be used by players for digital purchaseson the Nintendo eShop.
Lately, a lot of AAA games likeForspokenandDead Spacehave been raising eyebrows with their increased price tag for standard editions going from $60 to $70 which is similiar to what is happening with games on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.Nintendo recently confirmedthat this willnotbe the standard price for all of their games going forward.
Will There Be a Collector’s Edition?
Having a special collector’s edition for new releases has been a standard with video games for some time now, and Nintendo is not breaking from tradition on this front. During the Nintendo Direct on February 8th, Nintendo announced thatthere will be a collector’s editionforLegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This edition of the game will cost $130 and comes with the following extras along with a physical copy of the game.
If players want the collector’s edition ofLegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, they will want to move fast as special editions of highly anticipated games tend to sell out incredibly fast. While some collector’s editions will come with in-game digital bonuses, that is not the case forLegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomlaunches May 12 for the Nintendo Switch.
