Patch 10.1.5 continued the story of the latestWorld of Warcraftexpansion, Dragonflight. The big focus of this patch has easily been the new mega-dungeon known as Dawn of the Infinite. In addition to this difficult dungeon, there is a new public event that players can participatealong with whelp daycare.
While many of these new features were advertised and well documented in the launch trailer, there were some secrets left for players to discover. One of which was the return of the old Tier 3 armor sets from Naxxramas. But that is not the only secret for players to uncover. Oncethe secrets of Naxxramashave been unlocked,World of Warcraftplayers can find and obtain a new mount called Valiance.

Craft a Grappling Hook
Valiance can be found in the stables of the Military Quarter of Naxxramas. Butbefore going after this mount, players will need to do a few small tasks first. There are some new areas for players to explore, but they will require a grappling hook to reach.
First, go to theouter ring of Naxxramasthat connects all four quarters. Look for a pool of green slime and fish from it to get Abomination’s Chain. Next, head to the Construct Quarter and go into one of the first rooms that has a bunch of vats in it. Hooked onto the bottom of one of the vats is a hook. Finally, go to the Arachnid Quarter and kill Grand Widow Faerlina to receive Faerlina’s Sewing Kit.
Once all three parts have been gathered, players will be able to create the Makeshift Grappling Hook. This does not require a profession to craft.
Find Zackett Skullsmash
With the Makeshift Grappling Hook crafted, players will be able to access new areas. The Makeshift Grappling Hook is considered an ability, and it is account-wide. Before going any further, ensure to grab at least two bottles of Stratholme Holy Water from Stratholme before going any further. Return to the Construct Quarter and kill Thaddius. With the room clear, go back to the entrance of this room and walk up the left platform.
Look for a small black object and right click on it to use the Makeshift Grappling Hook to get up there. Turn around and immediately use the next object to grapple onto a small platform. Go right and grapple over to the other platform.
Turn around and look up toward the green windows to spot another object to grapple onto. Go right and carefully walk across the ledge. On the other side of the room is another grappling point.
This one is fairly tricky to latch onto, as players have to be right on the absolute edge of the platform to successfully interact with the object and grapple toward it. Take one step forward and grapple to the other side. Now carefully go right toward the alcove to find thecorpse of a goblincalled Zackett Skullsmash.
How to Wake Up Zacket Skullsmash
Select the Strathome Holy Water and use it on Zacket Skullsmash. He will offer players a quest whichrequires them to get 20 Invader’s Scourgestones, five Corruptor’s Scourgestones, three Dark Runes, and one Black Coffee.Invader’s Scourgestones can be obtained by killing bosses in Stratholme and Scholomance. Corruptor’s Scourgestones are acquired from killing bosses in Naxxramas (it doesn’t matter if it is 10-man or 25-man). Dark Runes are a rare drop from enemies in Scholomance. Finally, Black Coffee can be purchased from Kevin Browning in Shattrath City.
After gathering all of these items, return to Zacket Skullsmash. Make sure to bring another Stratholme Holy Water, as he has gone back to “sleep”. Turn in the items to complete the quest. As a bonus, players will get an item that can be turned into the bracers for a Tier 3 Armor set of their choosing (provided they have the materials).
Purchase Rotten Delicious
At this point, players will be able to acquire Death’s Bargaining Chips and use them to purchase items from Zacket. Death’s Bargaining Chips can be obtained by exchanging the following items.
Zacket offers a whole selection of items, including recipesfor crafting Tier 3 Armorif players are eligible to purchase them. But for Valiance, players will want togather 30 Death’s Bargaining Chipsandpurchase Rotten Delicious.
Once players have completed this quest, Zacket will move to the central chamber at the start of Naxxramas and will stay there. No more trips to the Construct Quarter will be required!
Go to the Military Quarter
For this next step, verify to have Naxxramas set to 10-man. Valiance can only be acquired in 10-man. Get close to Valiance as depicted in the image above and use the Rotten Delicious to feed it to Valiance. Approach Valiance to see a slightly different emote when knocked back.
How to Get the Reins of Valiance
This emote indicates that players are ready for the final step of this secret. Go toward the arena where Instructor Razuvious is.Use one of the crystals to mind control one of the Death Knight Understudies.
While controlling the Death Knight Understudy,take him to Valiance, and he will automatically mount the undead steed. Takethe Death Knight Understudyback to the arena. Right-click on the portrait of the Death Knight Understudy to end the mind control and then kill both him and Instructor Razuvious. Once the boss dies (which will likely be one hit if players are doing this raid at level 60 or higher), loot him to receive the Reins of Valiance. Congratulations on the new mount!
