Xbox Game Pass packs a lot of punch for one price, with the Netflix-style subscription featuring a library of over 100 games. With the services being available on PC, Xbox consoles, and now mobile devices throughxCloud early access, fans have a lot of different ways that they can access those games. Of course, there are some games that would be great for Xbox to add to the roster, which would bolster the service.
Plus, May is a massive month for new game launches, seeing the likes ofResident Evil Village, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition,and a ton more releasing over the course of the next thirty days or so. While it’s unrealistic to expect every game under the sun to come to the service, there are some standout titles that would make May an excellent month to be a Game Pass title, if Xbox were to add them.

BioMutant
The latestBioMutantworld trailerfurther defined what to expect from the game, showing off some interesting visuals from the game’svarious locales. With so many games slated to release this month, however,BioMutantis beginning to feel like a game that some players might miss, simply because of how small it is relative to some of this month’s other big games, which includesHood: Outlaws and Legendsplus newAssassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC.
AddingBioMutanton day one would be a good way to get more players to check it out, plus it would bolster Game Pass' offerings. THQ Nordic has added its titles to Game Pass before, like some of theDarksidersgames, so it doesn’t seem too outside of the realm of possibility.
Dark Souls 3
Fans are itching for anynew details aboutElden Ringright now, and while none are likely to come from Xbox Game Pass, From Software and Bandai Namco could draw some new fans in by puttingDark Souls 3on the service. As the latest entry in the brutally difficult series, it could help get fans accustomed to whatElden Ringwill offer.
Dark Souls 3’s reputation as a difficult game has undoubtedly turned some players away from it – players that just might fall in love if they were to give the series a shot. With the game having been out for nearly half a decade, it seems like a good fit to come to the service, as the additional time in the spotlight could do wonders for it leading intoElden Ring.
The only downside is thatGame Pass features a ton of RPGs already. That being said,Dark Soulsis a bit of an unconventional twist on what most have experienced in other fantasy games. Its challenges require players to think of it in different ways than other games do, which is a big part of the appeal often cited by fans.
The Division 2
Few live service games can claim to go toe-to-toe withDestiny 2,but Ubisoft’sThe Division 2is about as close as it gets. Offering a more grounded setting than many of the other live service titles out there,The Division 2has managed to capture its own audience of dedicated players. The game has had its ups and downs, but its popularity among fans was enough to ensure that it will keep getting updates for the foreseeable future.
Even by including just the base game with the service, omitting the Warlords of New York DLC,The Division 2could easily find a home on Game Pass. Currently, the service features bothDestiny 2andOutriders,both shooters with a heavy emphasis on grinding for loot. Mechanically,The Division 2sits somewhere between those two games. If it’s worth adding them to the service, there’s a strong case to addThe Division 2.
Mortal Kombat 11
The best part is that it would be mutually beneficial for NetherRealm and Microsoft. Offering up the base game for free would be an excellent way to get more players to purchase DLC, not to mention the full game when it’s time for it to leave the service. Game Pass has driven sales for games before, and with the base game essentially acting as a vessel for selling DLC,Mortal Kombat 11could see a pleasant resurgence there.
Of course, there’s no guarantee that any of these games will make it onto Game Pass. However, Microsoft appears to be paying attention to what fans want, so they should make any requests that have well known. With the rate the service is growing, it wouldn’t be that much of a surprise to see some of these games land on the service regardless.
