Aside from the main story, there are plenty of side quests for players inZelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Side quests are typically shorter missions ending in rewards like Rupees, weapons, and other resources like cooked meals or elixirs.
A Wife Wafted Awayis a side quest players can pick up during their time in theZora Domain. It features a concerned Zora looking for his elusive wife named Mei, who is seemingly nowhere to be found around the area. A Wife Wafted Away Location
Players must first have started the Regional Phenomena andSidon of the Zoramain story quests to unlock A Wife Wafted Away. The Zora Domain is in Hyrule’s far east region, next to the Lanayru Sea. Unlocking the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower reveals its position on the map.
Once players get to the domain and investigate the purple sludge infecting the waters, they will eventually run into a Zora namedFronkhanging out on the bridge in front of Sidon and Link’s statue (3289, 0440, 0139). Players must talk to Fronk to start A Wife Wafted Away.
A Wife Wafted Away Walkthrough
Fronk worries about his wife Mei, who has been missing, and asks players to help him find her. He doesn’t know much about her location, but he last saw her on the eastern bridge singing about going to a floating place.
The floating place she was referring to is one of the many Sky Islands above Zora’s Domain. Specifically, one that isnear the Water Templethat is discovered during the Sidon of the Zora quest.
Mei is on the Wellspring Islands, just south of the Water Temple. The quickest way to get there is to fast travel to the Water Temple or one of the nearby shrines, but players can use the waterfalls whilewearing the Zora armorto get to the Sky Islands.
Players will find Mei standing before a small pool (3669, 0569, 1251)fishing forHyrule Bass. However, she immediately leaves to talk to Fronk after Link tells her he is worried. Then, to finish the side quest, players must return to Fronk’s location in the Zora Domain.
The couple will reunite and thank Link for all his help by gifting hima Hearty Bass Meal.
