While Tom Holland is used to having to save his friends, this time, it was Zendaya who was saving Holland. The young actress jokingly recalled catching her co-star in aSpider-Man: No Way Homestunt.
The upcoming MCU entry, which is set to conclude Holland’sHomecomingtrilogy, will feature the multiverse and an array of pastSpider-Mancharacters like Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock andWillem Dafoe’s Green Goblinfrom Sam Raimi’sSpider-Mantrilogy. As the highly anticipated film is just right around the corner, the press tour has been underway, with stars like Zendaya and Holland sharing plenty of behind-the-scenes details.

Making an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the two stars looked back at some of the stunts they performed on set and how they had to adjust due to their height difference (with Zendaya being a few inches taller than Holland). In particular, one stunt involvedHolland’s Spider-Man holding Zendaya’s MJand swinging them both onto a bridge. But of course, things did not play out as planned.
“Because of our height difference, if we’re on the same point – we were attached – I would land before him. My feet obviously hit the ground before he does,” said Zendaya. Holland would jump in and say, “And I’m the superhero. I’m supposed to look cool,” as Zendaya kept laughing. “And she would land… and my feet would swing from underneath me and then she would catch me,” Holland recalled. The two would go on to act out what the end result from the stunt looked like, as Zendaya held Holland’s leg up. “You were actually very lovely about it,” Zendaya said to Holland. “You would be like ‘Oh my gosh, thank you.'”
The stunt that the two are referring to most likely takes place towards the start of the film right around when Spider-Man’s secret identity has just been unveiled to the world, as the two were swinging through New York right before that shocking news was made public. But in a film that is now confirmed to be 2 hours and 28 minutes long, the stunt that Zendaya is referring to could happen anywhere, asSpider-Man: No Way Homefeatures many thrilling sequencesand stunts.
